Disclosure Forms Are Now Available in Several Languages
Part of acting in a client’s best interest is ensuring they can read and fully understand the documents you are providing to them, including all contracts and disclosure forms. When a client speaks another language, licensees should take extra steps to make sure they understand these forms. To help you and your clients with this, BCFSA has updated translations of several of the mandatory client disclosure forms.
You can now find mandatory forms on BCFSA’s website translated into:
- Simplified Chinese;
- Traditional Chinese;
- French;
- Persian; and
- Punjabi.

If your client speaks a language for which there is no translated form, you should advise them to seek assistance from someone who can translate the contents of the document for them.
