Message to Licensees: Potential Fraud Warning

Potential Fraud Warning

The Council has received advice from Pushor Mitchell LLP warning of possible fraudulent activity by a person claiming to be a client of their law firm, which is located in Kelowna, BC.

An individual claiming to be Richard Cooper from Oregon, USA has contacted five licensees across BC to have them put together an offer to purchase a property. Mr. Cooper reportedly claims he is a client of Pushor Mitchell, but in fact has no affiliation with that law firm.

Please be aware of this possible fraudulent activity and advise the Council via email at info@recbc.ca if you or someone you know has been contacted by this individual.
